About the Eco-Arts Festival

Celebrating Water Life in 2025

This year we are celebrating ‘water life’ and partnering with Somerset Wildlife Trust to connect with plants, insects, and animals local to Somerset that thrive in our waterways.

Follow the trail in the summer from 26th July – 30th August with our Download Trail Map

Alongside our sculpture trail, we will be running drop-in workshops, group walks, and a summer retreat.

Community Events & Maker Deadlines:

  • Sunday 27th April 2025: Shepton Mallet Sunday Market - Sign up outside Create@#8, meet the team!
  • 14th June 2025: Collett Park Day - Help create a giant sculpture, sign up to make your own.
  • Confirm your sculpture choice by 6pm, Friday, 11th July 2025 (last day to unclaim if needed).
  • Host your sculpture from Friday, 25th July until Sunday, 31st August 2025 (must be visible to passers-by).

We're calling all makers, creatives, and community members of all ages to come together and celebrate the precious water ecosystems in our area. Through art, we aim to raise awareness about water conservation and biodiversity.

Sustainability

All sculptures featured in our trail are created using recycled, repurposed, or natural materials. Our festival demonstrates that beautiful art doesn't have to come at the cost of our environment.
